These terms cover the Buttie app, the Buttie web app at buttie.ai, the seat codes and signs at venues, and heybuttie.com (together, "Buttie"). Buttie is made by Buttie, LLC, a Florida company ("we", "us"). By using Buttie you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

1. What Buttie does

Buttie lets you order from your seat at a venue that uses it. Your order goes to the venue's staff and to the venue's register. The venue, not Buttie, sells you the drinks, food and cigars, makes them, serves them and takes your payment. Buttie is the messenger between you and the venue.

2. You must be 21 or older

Venues that use Buttie serve alcohol, and some sell cigars. You may use Buttie only if you are 21 or older. Buttie asks you once; the venue's staff may ask for ID at any time and may refuse service.

3. Your account

You sign in with your email address and, if you choose, Face ID or fingerprint on your phone. Keep your phone and email secure; what is ordered from your signed-in phone is your order.
Give us a real name and email. Staff use your first name to find you.
One account per person. Don't use someone else's account or let others use yours.

4. Ordering

Tapping Submit order (or confirming a voice order) sends the order to the venue. It is an offer to buy from the venue at the venue's prices. The venue may accept it, change it after talking to you, or decline it (for example if an item is sold out or staff decide not to serve you).
Prices, taxes and specials are the venue's. Buttie shows them as the venue set them. Obvious mistakes may be corrected.
Voice ordering turns what you say into a cart. Nothing is sent until you confirm it on screen. Check the cart before you confirm.
Orders can be voided or changed only by the venue's staff. Ask them.
You are responsible for everything ordered from your account and seat until your tab is closed.

5. Your tab and payment

Your orders go on a tab at the venue. You pay the venue, at its register or on its handheld, under the venue's payment terms. Buttie does not take cards and never sees your card number.
Tips are between you and the venue.
If your tab shows something you didn't order, tell staff before you pay.

6. Where Buttie works

Buttie checks that you are at the venue before it sends an order (using the venue's Wi-Fi, or your phone's location if you allow it, or a code on your seat sign). It may refuse an order if it cannot tell you are there. Location is used for this check only and is not stored (see the Privacy Policy).

7. Specials and deals

Some venues post deals that apply only to orders placed through Buttie. The venue sets the rules, dates and hours. A deal shown on your screen is applied on the venue's register when the order is placed; if it has ended by then, the regular price applies.

8. Rules of use

Don't:

order for anyone under 21, or pass drinks to anyone under 21;
use Buttie to harass staff or other guests, or send abusive requests;
try to read other guests' information, bypass the location or age checks, or interfere with the venue's screens or register;
copy, scrape, reverse-engineer or resell Buttie or the venue's menu data;
use automated tools to place orders.

We and the venue may suspend or close your account for breaking these rules.

9. Your content

Ratings, notes and suggestions you enter belong to you. You give us and the venue permission to use them to run and improve the service (for example to show a venue which items guests rate highly). Don't enter other people's personal information.

10. Buttie's property

Buttie, its name, the Please Disturb hanger, the butler, the app, the software and the catalog photos belong to Buttie, LLC or its licensors and are protected by trademark and copyright law. You get a personal, revocable license to use Buttie to order at venues. Nothing else is granted.

11. Availability

We work to keep Buttie running, but it may be down, slow or behind for reasons on our side, the venue's side, your phone, or the internet. If Buttie isn't working, order from staff the old way. We may change or stop features at any time.

12. No guarantees

Buttie is provided "as is". Menu descriptions, allergen notes, strengths and pairings are the venue's information or general guidance, not advice. Check with staff about allergens and ingredients. Buttie does not guarantee that an order will be accepted, made correctly or delivered.

13. Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows: Buttie, LLC is not liable for the venue's products, service, prices or payment handling, or for indirect, incidental or consequential damages. Our total liability to you for anything arising out of Buttie is limited to $100.

14. Disputes

These terms are governed by Florida law.

15. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Material changes will be shown in the app before you order again. Continuing to use Buttie means you accept the new terms.
